GRADES K-2

Bear Conservation Curriculum 
Bearitos, a snack food company, partnered with World Wildlife Fund to raise awareness for bear conservation. JSP assisted We Are Teachers in writing a series of bear-focused handouts written for K-2 learners that introduces students to bear family structures, diets, and how the food chain works.

GRADES 3-5

Oral Health Curriculum

Total Tooth Truth is an oral health care curriculum for grades 3-5. The curriculum includes five lesson plans designed to teach young learners all about teeth care, visiting the dentist, and healthy eating to promote good oral health. JSP worked closely with We Are Teachers, in collaboration with the Chicago Community Oral Health Forum (CCOHF) and the Wrigley Company Foundation, to develop the lessons.

JSP developed educator lesson plans and engaging, inquiry-based student activities to facilitate oral health education. The curriculum includes five lesson plans addressing the following topics:

Character Education Curriculum 

Mindset Matters for Middle School is a character education curriculum program designed to build leaders in grades 5 through 8. The curriculum encompasses eight modules with topics of courage, honor, respect, responsibility, communication, confidence, perseverance, and innovation.

  • Align curriculum to middle and high school standards for NBEA and ISTE

GRADES 9-12

VISA Financial Literacy Curriculum 

Practical Money Skills For Life Course is a comprehensive 9th through 12th grade financial literacy curriculum and was unveiled at the White House Summit on Financial Capability and Empowerment in May 2012. Students learn facets of financial management from how to save for a rainy day and college tuition to understanding investment options and the stock market. 

Lessons directly involve students in the learning process and implement real-world connections to promote money management skills and sound decision-making in spending and saving.

GRADES 9–12

H&R Block Budget Challenge Lesson Plans, Parent Handout, & Classroom Poster

​JSP wrote a series of lesson plans, a classroom poster, and a parent informational handout for the H&R Block Budget Challenge. The Budget Challenge is a financial literacy simulation program for teens. To supplement the online simulation, JSP created classroom and take-home resources on personal finance topics such as saving, investing, taxes, insurance, credit, and more.

  • Align lesson plans to national financial literacy education standards
